Abstract

The episode from "Asrak program" deals with the Amazigh names from a political and an Amazigh cultural point of view. The report explains the importance of these names as they reflect the person's identity, history, past and present. Interview with the Amazigh lawyer Lahlou Sabri who gives clarifications regarding the Amazigh names and the necessity to respect the laws stipulated in the new family code. He also notes that the code is clear and leaves a great deal of freedom for ctizens to choose their children's names.
