Abstract

A tour on a cruise ship to the Mogador island, on the Atlantic coast, 20 Km from Essaouira City. In the Mogador Island, which dates back to ancient times, there are Roman and Phoenician ruins, in addition to the prison built by the Sultan Moulay Abdelaziz in the 19th century, this was the place where many members of the Rahmane tribe were imprisoned. At the beginning of the 20th century, this prison was used to accommodate pilgrims after their return from the holy land to make sure they were not affected by contagious diseases.
