Abstract

Bzou, in the region of Azzilal, is famous for the manufacture of the Jellaba Bziouia which represents a cultural symbol in our country. The manufacture of this garment is done in stages : Workers wash the sheep’s wool, dry it, comb it and prepare it in sulfur to make skeins and bundles from it . The last stage is the weaving process which can take a month or two of work depending on the number of workers on it. The Jellaba is then sold at the weekly market on Friday . These Jellabas are worn by men in religious events, feasts and on Fridays.
