Abstract

The launch of Al Maghribia channel coincides with the celebration of Independence Day in Morocco. This channel was created in collaboration with the two channels (the first and second channel). It is a channel intended to Moroccans living in foreign countries. It seeks to revive and strengthen ties between the Moroccans and their homeland and provide an image of a modern Morocco, open to the world. The channel was launched in the presence of the Minister of Communication and the Directors of both the first and second channels. The program schedule will include the rebroadcast of the best programs of the first and second channels, the news program and other programs.

- A band, image and sound, the program guide and the launching of Maghribiyya Channel,

- a satellite channel uniting Channels One and Two. A moment of emotion with the birth of this newborn, in coincidence with Independence Day.

- This moment of emotions is a major moment as it is the outcome of great efforts we only achieved with our own capacities.

- But we made this project in the frame of the High Royal Institutions to come out with a new audiovisual domain.

- It is also a moment of emotion as we cross this phase on this precise day.

- Al-Maghribiyya inscribes itself in this opening undergone by audiovisual.

- Al-Maghribiyya also aims at giving a new life to the links with the Moroccans of the Diaspora and to give an image of some modern Morocco. It crossed several steps.

- The first step was the repeat broadcast of the best programs of Channels One and Two.

- Broadcasting will be done over 12 hours, and during the second phase, broadcasting will be done 24 hours a day.

- As regards the third step, it will be the setting of the launching of a real TV channel with its editing guiding line,

- its news and its programs that will be added to it, that is to say like worldwide channels that always start this way.

- Maghribiyya Channel, that will broadcast its programs from the head office of Moroccan TV,

- adapts its programs on the precise criteria of time difference

- as it is made out for audience of the Diaspora present in the countries of the Middle East,

- in North America and in Europe. It will soon aim at the audience of the African continent.

- Maghribiyya Channel opts for self-production. Its first objective is opening and high quality.

- 92% of its programs are of Arabic expression. It also broadcasts cultural, entertainment programs and news,

- the outcome of an effort that linked both channels.
