Abstract

Edmond Amran El Maleh is a Moroccan Jewish writer and thinker. He is considered as one of the most prominent figures in Moroccan literature written in French, although he started writing at the age of 60. El Maleh does not consider himself a writer, he says he came across writing by chance. After his participation in the struggle for the independence of Morocco with the Communist Party, he abandoned his political activities in 1959. He had taught philosophy in Morocco before he emigrated to France and devoted himself to publishing . Edmond is an exceptional writer and the consciousness of humanity, par excellence. In the interview carried out by the presenter of " computer 7" program, Edmond said that he was following the Moroccan publishing news, and talked about his proposals to develop the publishing industry by creating literary awards, and translating Moroccan books into other languages .
