Abstract

The region of Tissa (near the city of Fez) is known for breeding horses. It organizes an annual event to celebrate the horse and its position among El Hayayna tribes, in Tissa. This festival has become one of the biggest events in Morocco, a horse festival that gathers horsemen from all its regions. During the event, a competition called "tbourida" or "fantasia" is organized where every team decorates its horses with the nicest saddles. During the show, the horsemen form a row behind the leader and accurately execute his instructions, including simultaneous shooting.
