Abstract

The programme " Throughout the Atlas" takes us to the High Atlas, in the south of Morocco. It introduces the dance of the knee " errokba", in the region of Zakoura, which is performed by men who clap hands, accompanied by a flute and a drum. Then, an Ahidous style dance performed by women, and Tiskiwin which is a war and cavalry dance, as well as ahawach; a famous dance performed by traditionally clad young girls, wearing local silver jewels. The programme also shows the casbahs and castles with the typical architecture of southern Morocco.
