The episode deals with folk dances and songs in the Middle Atlas. Ahidous dance is performed by men and women, accompanied by mawawil (locally called Tamawait) and songs on the rhythm of tambourines. The programme explains the historical context of some popular songs in the region of Beni-Mellal. These songs praise the inhabitants' bravery facing the French occupation, in the early 20th century. The programme introduces another art, part of Ahidous arts ; a dance performed by women accompanied by musicians playing violins and tambourines in the middle of the mountainous landscape of the Atlas.Type
