Abstract

Episode on the sidelines of the visit of the Minister in charge of the Moroccan community residing abroad to Corsica where young people of Moroccan origin, born on the island, wanted to meet him. During the meeting, he asked those yougsters to change the image shown by the media about the island. They also discussed the immigrants harsh conditions. Infact, in recent years , the region knew a wave of violence that targeted anumber of immigrants of Arab origin. The Minister declared that the aim of this contact meeting is to promote the cultural and religious identity of the Moroccan immigrants in Corsica.
