Abstract

In the opening session of the symposium " Mohamed V - De Gaule: from an appeal to another" held in the kingdom library, in Rabat, the Ambassador of France in Morocco Mr Bruno Joubert read a message from the French President, Nicolas Sarkosy to the participants in the symposium. The French President considered the September 9th appeal a historical one which strengthened the friendship between France and Morocco. The King's response to this appeal came at a time France was facing hard times and the price of this support was the French and Morccan's blood for the liberation. At the end of the symposium, the French military delegation visited the mausoleum of Mohamed V.
