Abstract

The episode deals with the women's participation in the field of music, mainly the andalusian songs, over the years. The artist Samira El Kadri says that the andalusian songs are women's creativity; most of the subjects in this style are liked to marriage and women's habits and daily works. Even though these songs seem simple and easy to hear and sing, they bear the history of a people displaced from Andalusia to other areas. Samira Kadri animated a concert that is a combination of andalusian music and medieval music in the Mediterranean countries such as Morocco, Turkey and Greece.
