Abstract

The Argan Mejji women's cooperative in the city of Essaouira is specialized in the extraction and commercialization of argan oil and its by-products. This cooperative was created in the framework of the operation " national initiative for human development"( NIHD). It has not only improved its members' living conditions but also offers the women literacy courses. The products marketed by the cooperative range from cosmetic products to cooking oil.
