Abstract

The programme recalls the political and geographical developments in the history of the kingdom. It also shows the civilizations Morocco had known, during the prehistoric periods, since the paleolithic era, the Phoenician and the Roman periods. The islamic conquest paved the way to a new era with its political and social dimensions. The Idrissid dynasty founded the first islamic state with Fez as its capital, then came the Almoravids and the successive Alawite Sultans who faced various internal and external crises, mainly the imposition of the french protection on Morocco, in 1912.
