Abstract

Under the leadership of the late King Hassan II, Morocco organized the "Green March" and reclaimed its sovereignty over the region, as an integral of its territory, bu submitting the case to the International Court of Justice. The King announced the launching of the march during a speech on November 6th, 1975, in Agadir. 350.000 volunteers carrying the holy Quran participated in this peaceful march which succeeded to restore the balance in the spanish attitude towards the problem.
