Abstract

El Marqum is a traditional craft in El Jem, in the province of El Mahdia and in the region of Gafsa, South of Tunisia. It is a combination of the art of weaving and that of drawing on wool. This craft requires a traditional loom, traditional tools and great physical efforts. El Marqum products are sold to tunisians and tourists.
