The engraving on copper is one of the oldest Islamic arts . Creative craftsmen engrave and carve pots and antiques objects .They use burins or gravers to cut the design into the surface . This craft is transmitted from one generation to another ,it requires effort , patience and a high artistic human finesse . . Each country has its specific inscriptions . Tunisia is distinguished by engravings on dishes and household objects made of red and white brass. The artisan uses a hammer and nails of various sizes to engrave and create designs according to forms and colors .
