Abstract

This documentary on the area where Tozeur and Jerid are located, presents a historical overview of both towns, that started with their foundation by the Berbers, then the time of the arrival of the Arabs during the Islamic conquests, when it was called "The town of the Sedentaries". Today, Tozeur is famous for the charms of its oasis and its natural springs. In respect to its inhabitants, they are famous for their piety, their intelligence, along with their capacity to manage and distribute water from their natural springs, discovered by scientist Ibn Chabat. The documentary also presents the most famous monuments of the town and its crafts industry.
