Abstract

Hammam Lif is a seaside town, located 16 km South East from the capital of Tunis. It draws its name from two thermal springs that surface at the bottom of Djebel Boukornine. Known during Antiquity under the name of Naro, due to its Punic origins. This episod is dedicated to the presentation of this town and takes us to a first place, Djebel Boukrine mountain, where Boukrine National Reserve is located. Then we discover the Summer Camp National Centre in Bourj Sedria. The town of Hammam Lif enjoins its privileged geographical location, between the sea and the mountain, which turns it into a destination for local and foreign tourists. It is considered to be the door to Tunisia and a link between the north, the south and the center, thanks to one of the main railroad stations in the country. We end this episod by a visit to the souks of the town and to the House of Cultures "Ali Ben Ayyad", where we get an overview of its mosques.
