Abstract

This documentary series is about the history of Catalonia as seen through its artistic heritage: architecture, sculpture and painting. The social and economic changes in Catalonia in the 1960s and a growing openness to European influences show that democracy is possible after the death of Franco. As democratic society developed in Catalonia, so did regional self-government under the Generalitat.
