Abstract

During the last months of the Spanish Civil War, French writer André Malraux came to Catalonia to shoot his film “L’Espoir-Tierra de Teruel” as a way to raise funds for the Spanish Republic. This documentary reconstructs the story of this film and its making, thanks to the information and insights provided by Elvira Farreras, Malraux’s secretary during the film shoot.
