The program tells the story of the ships that transported cargo along the Ebro River in the late 19th and early 20th century. During the industrial revolution, these merchant vessels ceaselessly traveled the river route carrying coal from the Mequinensa mines. Later, once dams were built and road and train transport were improved, these cargo ships gradually disappeared from use and were left abandoned along the banks of the river. It's a series of documentary reports, some produced by TV3 and others acquired, that focus on subjects related to the sea and people from around the world who live off of it. The subject is treated from all angles: social, geographic and economic.Type
