Abstract

The video presents one of the episodes of series of documentary reports, some produced by TV3 and others acquired, that focus on subjects related to the sea and people from around the world who live off of it. The subject is treated from all angles: social, geographic and economic. This report is on the Ebro River Delta, a most interesting and important area both ecologically and economically-speaking, where agriculture and fishing are the primary industries. As the delta begins to recede, agriculture is taking the place of the more traditional types of fishing and the future seems to point towards cultivation of the sea.
