Abstract

It's a documentary on Cordoba from the beginning of the Christian conquest to the expulsion of Jews and Muslims from Spain in 1492. The story is told through three ficticious characters, each one a symbol of the different religions: Saïd, a Muslim water carrier; Salomó, a teacher of the Torah; and Ferran, a Christian Inquisitor. They reflect the big differences in the three cultures living side by side in Cordoba and how the city ceased to be a paradise of tolerance and coexistence and turned into a Catholic city that, through the Inquisition, managed to expel all people of other faiths.
