Abstract

In Barcelona, 300 neighbourhood associations took part in the “First Meeting of New Neighbourhoods.” A perfect example is Trinitat Nova, created in the sixties during the urban development and immigration boom. This neighbourhood was a model for the city’s democratic activity on a local association level ( meetings, creation of leisures centers...).
