In Barcelona, on the Day of the Innocents, the Catalan equivalent of April Fools' Day, the “Great Defecator’s Prize” was awarded for the second year in a row. This prize aims to counter the self-complacency of official acknowledgments and to vindicate the Catalan tradition of the “caganer” or “shitter”.
