Abstract

Abdennour Bidar delivers a lecture on the issue of the presence of Islam in Europe as a factor of instability. The lecture covers five issues: in the first one he tries to find out the main reasons for the instability brought by Islam to Europe; in the second one he deals with the crisis of Europe’s internal sacralisation and of Islam as a detecting factor; in the third issues he tries to identify and shows the nature of these crises; in the fourth one he analyses what Islam can bring to Europe; in the fifth one what Europe can give to European Muslims as it regards the concept of sacred.
