- The first hand coffee mills appeared in Europe in the 18th century, a wooden appliance, brown

- as it is dedicated to coffee grinding. Those machines widely spread in the 19th century,

- replacing mortars we mentioned just before. Those appliances entered in Morocco as the coffee merchants’ tools

- that used to own production units to buy, sell and coffee roasting.

- Coffee mills appear as one of the types of mills that can be found at filling and antique merchants’.

- Those tools used to have metal handles, which were tied to the wooden case.

- We close it, and so coffee grains come out middle sized, not very thin, not very big,

- but that depends on the type of mill that is used. Some grind coffee very thinly and others very roughly. This is the kind of type we are used to using.

- This one is another type. We put coffee here and we turn, they are different and one can choose.

- The one who’s got the means can buy the brands they like, we use them from time to time.

- An appliance that was use by the wealthiest households at the end of the 19th century, well before the appearance of power,

- and after the First World War. It was used by the wealthy Moroccan families of the countryside

- and was made to grind coffee and spices. With the coming of power,

- the first electric coffee mills appeared on the stage of the culture of coffee,

- production units were the first ones that widely used them,

- they used them for coffee roasting. Huge appliances, equipped with techniques and tools,

- while allowing seeing the roasting process of coffee from beginning to end.

- After coffee roasting into its rough state, we then roast it in a traditional way

- that helps us get rid of all the impurities content.

- This is a long process and to do so, to make sure we get clean coffee and to provide a produce of good quality to our customers.

- We make this process thanks to roasting appliances that constantly make such the roasting temperature is optimal.

- As regards the electric appliances to coffee grinding that one can find at a merchants’, they are used in drugstores,

- in production and sales coffee units, in cafés all over the country.

- Very common tools, as regards the major role they play in meeting the expectations of the increasing demands from Moroccan customers

- at a time when coffee trade became a major food industry.
