The Conferences organized within the framework of "Thinking the Mediterranean" are means of dialogue and exchange. Their themes have focused on shared memories, conflicts and also on the cultural, historical and commercial roots common to the inhabitants of the Mediterranean region. Jean Yves Empereur presents the richness and variety of the Alexandrian mosaic, its technical evolution, the excavations conducted by the team of the Alexandrian Studies Centre and the discovery of Macedonian cities. He compares and contrasts the Alexandrian and Tunisian mosaics.Type
