Najat Fakhfakh highlights the most important ideas of the session devoted to civil society. Civil society is a force necessary to development in the Mediterranean but it is not perceived in the same way on both banks. In the North it is perceived as a political partner, it has an advisory role and participates in awareness by intervening in the school for example. In the South Unfortunately, it faces great difficulties because it is not sufficiently independent. Civil society can only function if it is exercised in an area of freedom. The administration shall in no circumstances intervene to hinder the work of civil society. It is requested that the cooperation would be much more intense between the North and South.Type
