Abstract

Lord George Carey, former archbishop of Canterbury and patron of the Alexandria school of theology, who said at the beginning of his lecture that he was delighted to have this opportunity to address this assembly in this historic place. Then, he talks about the fact that everyone dismay by the controversy and the conflicts that trouble our world. Wherever we can see the world torn by divisions, bitterness, hatred and war. Yet, neither the Quran nor the Bible actually encourage conflicts, both Islam and Christianity seek to promote peace and concord. But in the Western mind, Muslim societies are associated with terrorism.
