Abstract

The conference worked hard with the political and institutional that affect women and gender. It provided an opportunity for participants to express their views on the nature and extent of the changes that have occurred during the past decades and to consider future changes to support ongoing efforts to improve women’s status in the Arab region and other regions in the world. Ms Salma El FAWAL, on behalf of professor Amal Bacha, presented a report on the first session entitled “Alexandria’s document and women’s status”.
