AbstractTreasures of the past, "the fifties": A group of the most famous Arab and foreign songs in the fifties represented by a group of young singers. The song 'Jarahatni ayoun suda ' ( you hurt his black eyes) was sung by the artist Afaf Radi and composed by Baligh Hamdi Afaf Abdel-Halim Rady was born in Mahalla al-Kubra, she then came to Cairo, and worked in programs for children . She became famous in the end of the sixties and the beginning of the seventies . She sang emotional songs , and songs for children . When she was ten-years-old she studied the piano and received a bachelor degree with honors at the age of eighteen . She has also got her Master's and PhD degrees from the Academy of Arts, and acted in musicals such as ' the Merry widow', ' Bas walidi' , 'Ah Ya Ghajar ' ' Dounia al Bianola' and ' Ala fin ya Doussa' . Afaf has acted in only one film only
