Abstract

The BA Arts Center organized in 29 March 2006 an exhibition entitled "Tutankhamun's Wardrobe" : A Reconstruction of the Textiles of Tutankhamun’s Treasure, in cooperation with the Swedish Institute and the Swedish Museum of Textile History. The exhibition features the meticulously created reconstruction of the nearly 3500 years old clothes of the Pharaoh Tutankhamun. Speech of Margareta Ekroth-Edebo about emergence of textile conservation in Sweden in the late 19th and early 20th century and the European network for conservation, restoration and education.
