Abstract

Kalliopi Taliadorou describes the art of hagiography, painting icons for churches. She has been raised in a family of artists and her father was a wood crafsman. She studied arts in Greece, France and Cyprus. She underlines the caracteristics of painting icons through the byzantine technique. At the end of the programme, Kalliopi Taliadorou expresses the wish to develop new forms of icons within the byzantine culture.
