African Tempo is an approach to the understanding of African music , its rhythms, and its succession of strong and weak cadence beats. It divides African music into two genres: the North African music with its Arabic and Andalusian influences, and the Pure African music. All styles and types of music are mentioned, including the Algerian music with El Ferda, Qaada, Athmane Bali, El Hachemi Guerouabi, Ahl Elil and Djemaoui Africa. The pure African music uses typically African instruments and relies on oral learning. With a good rythm, this music recounts the history of deportation and slavery and sings liberty.Type
