Abstract

Reality and prospects are the two main aspects of this document to show the deteriorating conditions of the Casbah of Algiers, lack of hygiene and daily threat on families living in cracked houses. The prospects are summarized in the restoration and decision-making of the Algerian state to establish a multi disciplinary team to identify the damage and initiate restoration. The documentary begins with an aerial tour of “Algiers the White”, flying over the “Amirauté”(Admiralty) section, the terraces of the Casbah and finally entering the “Skifa and Weste eddar”( center of the house), to show the architectural and ornamental jewels of this ancient city.
