Abstract

Oran, Algeria's second city and one of the largest in the Maghreb, is located 430km from the capital Algiers. It is a port city located in the north-west of Algeria. Oran has preserved its identity while impregnating with the influence of its successive occupants. It is known for its many tourist sites but also for the RAI song whose most famous ambassador is the singer Cheb Khaled.
