Abstract

A friendly match took place at the 19 Juin Stadium, in Oran, between the Algerian national team and the famous Brazilian Foot Ball Club of Santos, ten times champion of Brazil, and one of whose players is Pele. This meeting took place before fifty thousand spectators who came to admire Pele' s talents and encourage the Algerian national team. The match ended in a draw, 1-1; Tonino scored at the 43th minute of the first half, and the Algerian Freha equalized at the 32th minute of the second.
