“I need the most beautiful mosque to change it into a temple for Christians, manage this as best as you can!”. Ketchaoua mosque was the target on December 17th,1831. A horde of French soldiers executing General Savary’s order, made of the mosque of Algiers a cathedral. This is the story of a city and its suburbs from 1492 till the French colonisation in1830.(2nd part).
