The 1992 world exhibition was held from April 20 to October 12, 1992 in Seville, Spain, on the Island of La Cartuja. The theme of the exhibition is “The era of discoveries”, and the event celebrates 500 years of the discovery and the exploration of America. More than 100 countries were represented and the crowd of 42 million visitors was beyond the most optimistic forecasts.
