Abstract

Mohamed Dib was born in Tlemcen in 1920, he was one of the greatest contemporary Algerian writers. His dense and serene inspiration is expressed in all styles : short stories, poetry, theatre or novels, among which ' la Grande maison' (1952),' L'incendie' ( 1954), 'Un été Africain' (1959) or 'Qui se souvient de la mer ?' ( 1962).
