Abstract

A tree that can withstand the harshest environmental conditions, the pistachio of the Atlas is quite common throughout Algeria. Specimes of this tree were moved to Lisbon on the occasion of World Exhibition in 1998 to decorate the pavilion representing Algeria, which participated in this major international event.
