Abstract

Saladin Citadel overlooks the city of Cairo. This citadel had to meet several objectives :to be the new enclosure wall built in 1169, the symbol of the new power of Saladin by distinguishing itself from its predecessors and the headquarters of the Fatimid royal residence.
