Abstract

Zavizan lodge is located below the top Vučjak in the Northern Velebit National Park. The lodge is located near the meteorological station Zavižan, which is also the highest meteorological station in Croatia. From the lodge and its immediate surroundings, there is a nice view on Kvarner islands. It is the best place to see the islands of Goli and Rab and the peaks on the north slopes of Velebit (Big Hair, Big Zavizan and barely visible behind him Gromovača, a little more left from Zavizanski Pivcevac).
