Abstract

The guest in the studio is a young promising musician and singer: Rona Keinan. She loves to cook with local herbs. She is making a pastery filled with Articock and goat cheese, Rashad salad, Ravioli filled with Labaneh and zaatar (satureja) and makes a zaatar pesto ! Then, the magazine invites us to a visit in Jerusalem to one of the famous bar restaurants: "Barood", where foreign journalists likes to sit and meet the local artists, students and food lovers. The owner is Daniela Lerer, born and raised in Jerusalem. Her cooking is based on the local tradition dishes of the old Sephardi jews. Daniela makes Pastelicos (kind of cigars) filled with meat, meat balls with mangold in lemon sauce, lamb sofrito with Jerusalem Artichocke, barabunia fish with fennel and blood orange sauce, lamb kebbab accompanied with lentels, turkish spinach and green tahina.
