Abstract

On the occasion of an exhibition of sculpture at the Cernuchi Museum, organized in 1959, on the theme of the relationship between East and West through fifty centuries of art, Enrico Fulchignoni attempts to show how, through the Egyptian art, Greek art was influenced by the Etruscan and oriental arts. The comment and the camera move emphasize the similarities between the various carved statuettes in the profiles, smiles and attitudes. The soft, slow and distant music of Iannis Xenakis seems to pay homage to these civilizations.
