- Heritage has a large place at the Institute of the Arabic World.

- The museum of the Institute, all along the acquisitions, the loans and the other exchanges with the other museums of the Arabic and Muslim countries,

- is a place where one discovers or rediscovers the diversity, the refinement, the riches of the Arab-Muslim cultures and civilizations.

- The museum ranges on 5 floors. 3 are dedicated to Islamic art, Arab Islamic art and 2 are dedicated to contemporary art.

- For Islamic art, we go from a period preceding even the birth of Islam,

- to explain in which context this new religion was born and how this new civilization could build up and develop,

- but we favored an aspect that has not been developed in other museums up until now,

- the history of sciences and techniques, as the Arabic world brought many things

- to the West, even though they are not always conscious of it.

- In the field of mathematics, astronomy, health sciences, medicine and pharmacy, that is this aspect that we intended to highlight.

- Every time I come, I learn new things.

- I used to have an Arabic culture that was mainly closely centered on the Maghreb,

- but then I began to have a much wider vision of the Arabic world in general, and of the Muslim world.

- The Contemporary Art Museum gives a hint about the artists’ specificity and the creativity today. It is a show of discovering of emerging talents, from immigration in particular.

- “Given that we are in Paris, it would be a pity not to dedicate a space to the artists born from immigration,

- who live here and who completely do a work of syntheses, just like artists living in the countries of the Maghreb and the Machriq.”

- I get back in touch with the Muslim world I know a little as I travelled in quite many Arabic and Muslim countries

- and which art I appreciate quite much, and of which I am happy to find back, here, objects that reminds me of this world that fascinates me quite much.
