- Those factories are famously known to be very polluting.

- Just them emit 5% of Co2 emissions in the world, the wind turbines will help to reduce the pollution from half.

- As a fact, the installation of a wind farm will allow here to save about 30,000 tons of Co2 gas, a gas with a greenhouse effect, per year.

- This French-Moroccan project is the first one in the world in the application of the Kyoto Protocole.

- The French big industries have quotas to respect.

- Thanks to a system of loans, they manage their pollution.

- If they pollute less in a factory, they may pollute more somewhere else or sell back its carbon credits.

- The choice on the use of these credits has not been decided on but Moroccan industrials complain about the complexity of the system,

- as first they had to convince the Moroccan authorities, starting with the head of the closest village.

- The village had several fears. First of all the noise but also the impact on the grazing fields.

- The fears were gone when the factory started taking many inhabitants on another wind farm, not far away.

- From this moment on, there were no more problems.

- Thus the project implanted in Morocco possesses a great advantage for French cement:

- it is less expensive than in industrial countries.

- But still 120 million Euros.

- A return on investment over 15 years only.

- At this pace, that is not sure that the factory may produce clean energy in the 75 countries where it is set.
