Abstract

In the 19th century, Alexandria had a large foreign and European community, composed of English, Greek, French and Italians, which earned the city a reputation of cosmopolitanism which ended with Nasser’s revolution. Mohamed Awad, an architect, takes a walk in the city and presents some places of memory of that time.
