- On the occasion of the release of a documentary in DVD and Intantu their last album,

- the Corsican band A Filetta came to the capital this week to present the retrospective work

- of their 15 years of polyphonic history.

- For a long time, we have wanted to live each moment of our music with intensity

- and we never did any projection and we always allowed ourselves

- to listen very carefully other musics we are close to.

- A Filetta’s work does not only own its success to the magic of their Corsican voices

- but also in the collaboration with composer Bruno Coulais.

- With, among others, “Himalaya, a chief’s infancy”,

- “The Migratory People” by Jacques Perrin

- or “Dom Juan” by Jacques Veber.

- And it is partly due to this cultural coverage that the band went on enriching its polyphonic repertoire

- in European and Mediterranean influences of a capella songs.

- So, like passers carried by grace,

- A Filetta follows this secular and island tradition of the transmission

- of love messages, mercy, compassion and exorcism of evil,

- messages that have always been in charge of elevating the mind and the soul of humanity.

- I believe that there is a common humanity of joy, a same humanity of pain,

- a same humanity of dreams,

- that is what makes us carry on. Otherwise, yes, it is to do music to play music,

- it can become an occupation a job, it can become an exercise, esthetics,

- it has no more strength, it has no more raison d’etre.

- will be in concert on June 27th at the Trianon, in Paris,

- the occasion to discover those singers who, for most of them, developed their gifts in their Corsican village

- and with no constraint of the music theory.
